Typical day in your shoes?
As a senior resident, I’m completing electives at UIHC with a focus in public, community, and rural Psychiatry, with a half-day of Psychiatry clinic at the 501 Housing First Apartments in Iowa City. My current elective is being a senior resident for two amazing interns on one of the inpatient units.
What’s your favorite part of being a psychiatrist?
Helping patients navigate through some of the hardest times of their lives. Plans for next year? To be determined. Let me know your recommendations.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?
You cannot control most things in life but you can control your attitude.
Favorite vacation experience/destination?
Going to Machu Picchu and then traveling to the Peruvian Amazon.
Which actor/actress would you want to play you in the movie about your life?
Emma Stone, for sure.

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?
Spending time with my dog Stella.
