Wear your white coat, meet with legislators, and be a leading voice in medicine.Decisions made by Iowa’s General Assembly have an impact every day on physicians, patients, and the practice of medicine in our state. To educate lawmakers and ensure physicians have a voice in the legislative process, we invite you to join your colleagues from across Iowa for this vital day of grassroots advocacy.
This annual advocacy event is timed well for physicians to be able to meet with their legislators and/or staff members, and to have input on the budget and other important health care issues. Participants will hear from the Iowa Medical Society executive director and lobbyist and others, then will take part in an issue briefing before heading to the Capitol by bus.
